No Peace, No Honor draws on recently declassified records to show that the true picture is worse than either of these perspectives suggests. The reality was the opposite of the decent interval.   This is how the administration's history of "peace with honor" was written. The personal papers of Henry Kissinger are deposited in the Library of Congress with a deed of gift restricting access.

"Peace with Honor" was a phrase U.S. President Richard M. Nixon used in a speech on Janu to describe the Paris Peace Accord to end the Vietnam phrase is a variation on a campaign promise Nixon made in "I pledge to you that we shall have an honorable end to the war in Vietnam.". Richard Nixon was only elected president in November by masquerading as the ‘peace candidate’, declaring for ‘peace with honor’. The Nixon regime, beginning with his first election victory and continuing with his re-election four years later, although appearing to signify the ‘wind-down’ phase of the war, initiated one of the most disturbed periods in US history.
